Getting on Google Searches

Getting listed on Google is usually just a matter of time (a few months sometimes) but there are things you can do to speed it up and get listed higher.

First, submit your website URL (address) at http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl .

Then make sure you have the "Serving" text in YV (Setup/MyInfo) set to include the names of the areas parents might search for in google. You can even check your status with google at https://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/sitestatus .

Good luck!

Ok, I did both those steps. But under webmaster, it needs to verify my page. Instructions read:

Copy the meta tag below, and paste it into your site's home page. It should go in the head section, before the first body section.

Then it has the metatag which this comment section won't take.

I have tried going onto the Inline Editor and putting it at the beginning of the text there.

I have also tried going into the Serving: section and added it in the front there.

It still won't VERIFY.

Debbie,
As long as you have supplied your address (URL), you do not need to VERIFY the website. This is for access to advanced webmaster tools.
It is not possible to change the meta tags for your own YV pages, as they are coded into the YV system and not editable for an individual subscriber.

I think you are all set up by the sound of it.

Thanks, Gerry !

I hope it helps! Is there a way to tell if it is helping?
